Air Powered Brake Caliper Piston Wind Back Tool Set (16 pcs)

This tool is the gen 2 of Cosda's most famous tool - the pneumatic brake piston returning tool. The first generation has a blue and metallic case. That was not only Cosda's first patented tool, but also one of the best sellers. 

When servicing the brake pads, the brake piston is slightly protruding because the pads are running thin. It is not possible to fit the new, and thicker, brake pads in the same area unless you push the brake piston back in. The pushing of the brake pistons can be divided into two types. Front wheel brake calipers usually use the push type, but the rear wheel brake calipers usually have the brake pistons that can only be pushed back in by turning clockwise. Conventionally, we have manual type brake piston wind back tool that can turn the brake pistons back in. They are usually helpful but when encountering the pistons that have rusts or debris around, turning the brake pistons back becomes a tedious and tiring task. The primary function of the tool is to pushing/turning the brake pistons back and the task becomes so much easier thanks to the pressure delivered by the air compressor. 

Working with this tool is very intuitive. First, you will find a suitable brake piston adapter that fits the same shape as shown on the brake piston, and then fit the adapter to the tip of the pneumatic tool. There are magnets on the tip so the adapter does not fall easily. Second, you will want to connect the tool to the shop air. Press the trigger on the side to adjust the length, and then fit the tip with adapter as well as the holder plate into the brake caliper bracket. After secure the tool inside the bracket, turn the handle at the end of the tool while pressing the trigger, and the pressure from the air compressor will help you to turn the brake pistons as easy as a breeze. 

The tool has a lightweight and sturdy nylon case, which is able to withstand the pressure from the air compressor.
