SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Cosda continues to work on waste reduction regardless of  its small size. Our ISO 14001 certificate shows a solid proof of our diligence.






Cosda is certified with ISO 14001:2015

After months of hard works on reducing wastes from production and pollutions, Cosda runs our environmental management according to ISO 14001 standards.



Cosda emits 145.678 tons of CO2 in 2023
Under the ISO 14001 scopes, Cosda has worked to collect all data related to carbon emission, and the results are 145.6728 tons of CO2 emitted by Cosda in 2023, and we aim for reduce the emissions year after year. 



Increase recycled materials in current products

Cosda has been working hard with our suppliers to increase the recycled material content while maintaining products quality, primarily for blow molded cases (HDPE), rubber adapters, and other polymer-related products.



Reduction on plastic bag uses for package purposes

In 2022 alone, Cosda expects to reduce the use of 90,000 plastic bags, and reduce the thickness of the plastic bags still in use. In total, it is estimated that 410 kg of carbons can be reduced by this simple action.



The elimination of single-use utensils

Cosda prohibits our employees from using single-use utensils when having lunch at work for consecutively 17 years, and an estimate of 3.6 tons of carbons were reduced throughout the years.



SOCIAL CONTRIBUTION

Cosda actively engages itself as a member of the local and global communities. Such involvement is not limited to monetary form, but also other diverse ways.



Sponsorship to electric racing car project

This electric racing car project is led by National Chung Hsing University and will participate in Formula JSAE Japan. Cosda is a proud sponsor of automotive tools for repair and maintenance.



Regular donation to charities

Cosda donates to organizations such as Médecins Sans Frontières and "Send Love to Tribes" that helps schools located in remoted villages in Taiwan on a regular basis.  Non-monetary forms, for example, donations of bags and shoes to Africa to fight against parasites (tungiasis) on special events.



Support of local NGOs

Cosda offers its employees cakes and pastries, sourced from bakeries that hires children with developmental disabilities, on Mother's Day and Mid-Autumn Festivals annually.
