This beautiful tool set not only provides a highly professional and sensational look, but also caters to what you are looking for when carrying out maintenance for the cooling system. As time goes by, the efficiency of the cooling system may decrease, and contaminants and debris will build-up naturally. But there are several other factors that can lead to the problem of an inefficient cooling system prematurely. One of the most common reason is that the car owner used a mixture of incompatible antifreeze or coolants that eventually lead to the additives fighting against each other, and the additives are losing their ability to guard the auto parts against corrosion, cavitation, and limescale buildup. Another common reason is the sludge, which is caused by the presence of engine oil in the cooling system. But why would engine oil go into the cooling system? The most possible reason is a result of the worn head gasket that leads the engine oil leaking into the water passages in the engine. The last reason, which is very common in the climate zones where frost or snow doesn't fall, is that the car owner poured tap water into the cooling system. The minerals in the tap water react with the internal parts of the cooling system that eventually generates rusts through the cooling system.
The contaminants, debris, scale, or sludge block the coolant passages inside the cooling system, so those areas can no longer be cooled down by the coolant, and that causes engine overheating or malfunctions on certain parts in the engine compartment. Fortunately, such a problem can be fixed. This cooling system flush tool designed and manufactured by Cosda can help you solve the problem. After draining the coolant from the cooling system, hook up the parts provided in this professional set. The attachments can be fitted to the radiator or expansion tank filler neck, upper or lower hose, and heater core. The conical rubber adapter is able to fit a big range of the diameters of the upper/lower hoses. Connect the main tool to the air compressor and water hose, a regular garden hose is fine, and turn on the air and water supply, and a powerful stream of water can be created. What's more, this tool is able to create a powerful water stream with pulses, and the pulses are the key to remove or even eliminate the undesired debris and scales in the cooling system. If the pulse function is not needed, the tool has a second gear that allows constant, stable, and powerful water shoot.
We always recommend our customers to use a piece of cheese cloth or a used white sock fixed at the water exit, which is usually the lower hose, and when the flushing job is done, we can unfold the cloth/sock to see what has been flushed out of the system, and that is a very satisfying moment. And from the things that have been pushed out of the cooling system, an experienced car mechanic is able to tell what caused the problem and take actions fixing what should be fixed.
