Changing engine oil is one of the most basic and entry-level tasks. Conventionally, we jack up the car, remove the bolts around the engine splash shield and that already takes about 10 minutes to do so. Locate the oil pan drain plug and remove the drain plug as fast as you can when you feel the oil is going out or when you feel that the bolt threads are nearly out to avoid physical contact of the hot engine oil. After draining the engine oil, connect the drain plug to pour new engine oil. When engine oil is filled with the adequate volume, jack up the car again to install the engine splash shield, and this is one of the least thing I like to do when changing engine oil because the splash shield is usually bulky and hard to control, and it's very tiring to keep your arms high up while you are aiming the hole to screw the bolts and fastening them one after another. This tiring process can have an alternative.
This vacuum oil extractor is able to extract engine oil directly from engine with the help of a thin tube that goes into the dipstick tube. You will no longer need to jack up the car, and remove the bolts one by one on the engine splash shield, and repeat for installation. To begin with, turn on the engine and run at idle for a while to let the engine reach to working temperature. If your car has been running on the street already, let it cool down to approximately 75°C or 167°F. After inserting the suction tube into the dipstick tube with the help of the marking ball so the tube does not go into too deep in the oil pan, place your feet on the foot base and start pumping. While pumping, the air inside the tank will gradually be removed, and a vacuum will be created subsequently. You will start to see that the dark-colored engine oil is slowly being transported into the tank. Just by pumping 40 strokes, the tank will be able to extract 4 liter or 1 gallon of warm engine oil in 8 minutes.
Not only does this oil extractor can work on regular passenger cars, but also is suitable for extracting engine oil on from lawn mower and heavy-duty vehicles to agricultural tractor or even marine boats. Apart from engine oil, you can also extract all the non-fuel liquids from a car, including brake fluid, coolant, ATF, and power steering fluid. It has a wild application range.
